Phnom Penh (FN), Jan 12 – Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will attend World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2017 (WEF) under the working theme “Shaping Global Systems in the Face of Political and Economic Uncertainty” to be held in Switzerland from Jan 17-20, 2017.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFA), it said the premier will take part in various meetings with the following themes – The Operationalizing the Sustainable Development Goals; The New Vision for Agriculture; Multilateral/Cambodia-Global Leaders; Responsive and Responsible Leadership in a Multipolar World; ASEAN at 50: What’s Next?; Agile Governance for the Fourth Industrial Revolution; The ASEAN Way in a Fragmenting World; Manufacturing Identity: Is ASEAN a Community Yet?

As Cambodia will host WEF on ASEAN this year, Samdech Hun Sen will take the opportunity to showcase ASEAN and promote Cambodia at a special session entitled “Cambodia: The Rising Star of ASEAN”. Besides, the premier will hold bilateral talks with Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of WEF and with leaders of some countries.

The WEF Annual Meeting is the foremost global gathering of leaders of the highest levels from governments, business, academia, civil society, and media to shape global agendas.
