Phnom Penh (FN), Jan 11 – Cambodia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFA) has assisted with paperwork processing for visa application for approximately 100,000 Cambodian migrant workers to Thailand in 2016, according to the MoFA's report.

The report released on Jan. 11, 2017, showed that from Jan-Dec in 2016, MoFA has helped 97,102 Cambodian workers on visa application paperwork to work in Thailand, compared to 68,174 in 2015.

The Cambodia’s Royal Embassy and Consulate in Thailand also assisted in increasing wages for 260 legal Cambodian migrant workers and assisted 139 others to repatriate.
