Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 20 – Cambodian prime minister Hun Sen said that 2.3 million doses of Australia-aided Pfizer vaccine will arrive Cambodia on 26 and 28 December 2021, speaking in a special message on Monday.

The premier will preside over the handover ceremony at Phnom Penh International Airport.

Samdech also thanked China, Japan, UK, the United States, and the Netherlands for providing vaccine aids to Cambodia to fight against COVID19.

Premier Hun Sen called on Cambodian people to stand up together to fight against COVID19 and strictly adhere to the health measures. He also expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims who died of COVID19.

Cambodia has so far received more than 40 million doses of COVID19 vaccine to inoculate her people. The kingdom has so far administered at least one dose of vaccines to more than 14 million people, or nearly 89 percent of its total population. More than 3 million people have received third dose or booster shot.

Today (20 Dec), Cambodia reported seven new cases of COVID19 and no one is dead. To date, Cambodia has confirmed 120,423 cases of COVID19 with 116,803 recoveries and 3.005 deaths.
