HANOI, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) — Destroyer USS John S. McCain of the United States Navy Seventh Fleet on Wednesday arrived at a port in Vietnam's central Da Nang city, starting a friendly visit.

The warship with a crew of 23 officers and 315 non-commissioned officers, sailors is paying a four-day tour to Da Nang, some 600 km south of capital Hanoi, reported Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA.

During staying in city, commanders of the ship will pay courtesy calls on leaders of Da Nang People's Committee and High Command of Vietnamese Navy Zone 3.

Also, a delegation of Vietnam People's Navy will visit the ship and hold several expertise exchanges.

After finishing the visit to Da Nang on Saturday, the destroyer will jointly carry out some training activities on rescue at sea with ships of Vietnamese navy, said VNA.
