PHNOM PENH (FN), September, 6 – The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has found that China ranks the first top out of the 18 countries that have invested in construction projects in Cambodia.

A report by the General Department of Construction of the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, made available to Fresh News this morning of September, 6, 2016 said between 2000 and August 2016, there was a total of 284 construction projects run by private foreign investors, over a total of 12,496,615 square meters, amounting to $4,280 million. Among the 18 countries that have invested in construction projects in Cambodia, China takes the first place followed by Korea and Japan taking the second and third places respectively.
 
In the meantime, the General Department of Construction also said, between 2000 and 2016, the Ministry had registered a total of 1,862 design and construction firms, however, with only 871 valid. Of these, 588 are locals and the other 283 firms are from 29 countries.
