Phnom Penh (FN), August 23 – Senate President Say Chhum told North Korea’s new Ambassador that Cambodia would like to see the Korean peninsula undertaking a peaceful negotiation in compliance with the resolution of the UN Security Council.

Samdech Say Chhum made gave his remark during a courtesy call by the newly-appointed Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea, Mr. Jang Yun Gon, at the Senate headquarters today, August, 23, 2016. “The position of Cambodia is to see a peaceful negotiation in the Korean peninsula and in compliance with the resolution of the UN Security Council,” said Say Chhum.

The North Korean Ambassador expressed his appreciation with the developments in Cambodia in all fields under the current Cambodian leadership and that the current political stability, security and peace constitute a great opportunity for Cambodia to bring in more foreign investments and tourists for further development of the country.
