Phnom Penh (FN), August 3 – Lieutenant General Mok Chito, deputy director general of the national police said the anti-drug police had raided and made arrest of a Thai drug ring leader with close to 20kg of drug seized.

Gen. Chito said the operation was launched at 18:00pm of August 1, 2016 at Trapeang Chhouk village, Teuk Thla district, Khann Sen Sok, Phnom Penh, and the suspect was identified as Chhayaphong Phisayphan, 52, Thai national, with 3kg of crystal met seized.

Gen. Chito added that at 17:30 pm of August 2, 2016, police went on searching of the rented house of the suspect in Phnom Penh Thmey district, Khann Sen Sok, and found two packages of heroin weighing 660 grams, 9 pieces of suspected ICE weighing 6kg, another 9 boxes of around 52,000 WY pills, and two vehicles were confiscated. In total, the dug seized in the raid was around 20kg, he said.
