Phnom Penh (FN), July 1 – Maj. Gen. Ouk Hay Seyla, head of investigation of the Immigration General Department, said this morning of July 1, 2016, his police forces in cooperation with those of the Phnom Penh Municipal police, and under coordination of deputy prosecutor Sieng Sok, netted a group of 93 Vietnamese, of whom 34 were women, who have crossed the border into Cambodia without possessing passports and were staying in guesthouses in Ta Ngov village, Niroth district, Khan Chbar Ampov.

The arrested Vietnamese have been handed over to the immigration department for questioning in accordance with the legal procedures, Gen. Seyla said.

General Seyla mentioned that, under constant instructions of Senior General Sok Phal, Director General of the Immigration General Department, his unit will continue to work harder to net foreigners residing and working in Cambodia illegally.
