Phnom Penh (FN), June 15 – Vietnam’s new president Tran Dai Quang who is on a visit to Cambodia called his host country as brother and assured Cambodia National Assembly president that relationship and cooperation between the two countries will be long-lasting, said Keo Pisith, chief of cabinet of the NA president and also spokesperson for the meeting of the two countries’ leaders.

In the meeting, Mr. Tran Dai Quang said, as both a brother and a neighbor, we witness that Cambodia has been developing very fast under the leadership of His Majesty the King, Samdech Prime Minister and the NA’s president.
Mr. Tran Dai Quang arrived in Cambodia sometime after 4:00 pm of June 14, 2016, for a three-day visit from June 14 through June 16, 2016 after he was elected as Vietnam’s head of state.

Mr. Tran Dai Quang was elected as Vietnam’s new president to replace Mr. Truong Tan Sang in April 2016. Prior to his election, Mr. Tran Dai Quang served as Minister of Public Security, a position he had held since 2011.
