Phnom Penh (FN), Dec. 8 - His Excellency Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will pay official visits to Hungary and Romania from 11 to 13 December 2018 at the invitation of His Excellency Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and His Excellency Teodor MeleṢcanu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, respectively, according to the ministry’s press release dated Saturday.

During his stay in Hungary, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister will have a bilateral meeting with his Hungarian counterpart, to discuss and explore possibilities to further strengthen political and economic cooperation as well as revitalize possible areas for mutual interest of the two countries. The two Ministers will also exchange views on regional and international issues of common concerns.

At the conclusion of the meeting, some cooperative documents are expected to be signed and followed by a press conference.

Thereafter, on 12 December 2018, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister will be heading to Romania for bilateral talk with His Excellency Teodor MeleṢcanu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania during which the two Ministers will discuss the growing interest and fruitful cooperation between the two nations based on common interest and mutual respect.

The two Ministers will sign some documents concerning bilateral cooperation at the end of their bilateral talk and followed by a press statement.

The official visit of His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister will provide a renewed opportunity to enhance the bond of long-standing friendship and renew strong commitment to advance political dialogue and mutual support at the regional and international fora for the best interest of both sides.

During his official visits to Hungary and Romania, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister will pay courtesy calls on some leaders of each country, respectively.

His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister’s visits to these two European countries are encouraged by the growing diplomatic relations, economic interest, trade, investment and tourism and seek to further enhance political supports in the international arena for the course of justice, national integrity and respect for each other’s sovereignty.
