Seoul (FN), Nov. 27 – Cambodian female Snooker Athlete Srong Pheavy has won Gold Medal in the 1st Asian Championship Ladies 3-Cushion 2018 on 26 November 2018 in the Republic of Korea.

She said that this is the first time that the Asian Snooker Federation organized female Asian Championships, according to Pheavy.

"The first Asian Championship Snooker has 16 competitors from three countries, including nine Koreas, six Japanese and one Cambodian. I won six matches straight through to win gold medal in the final. I beat Japan 30-17 in final. I am very happy and excited, as this is the achievement I have long yearned and I want to win gold medal for my country,” Pheavy said.

"This success is a driving factor that encourages me to put more efforts to compete in international games on behalf of Cambodia. Even though there are few participants in the tournament, it is a great honor for the country, and I hope the next tournament will be more special, especially I want to see more Cambodian women joining this event; I highly encourages,” she added.

Srong Pheavy recently won a bronze medal in the 8th World 3-Cushion-World Championship Ladies in Izmir, Turkey, on 20 September 2018.
