Tokyo, Japan (FN), Oct. 7 - Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, on Sunday, urged Cambodian citizens to be mindful of fake news posting by some ill-intended people, addressing to 350 Cambodian citizens living in Japan on Sunday.

Prime Minister Hun Sen’s remarks came after ill-intended people have distorted a lot of fake information even on Hun Sen's death through hacked accounts, including those of the national institutions.

The premier said that there is no obstacles in finding the true sources of information about Cambodia.

The Royal Government of Cambodia hopes Cambodian citizens living in Japan verify news with trusted sources in Cambodia when getting news from social media.

He added that many countries in the world are now fighting against fake news, such as law enforcement. In particular, France has begun to implement anti-fake news legislation.
