Phnom Penh (FN), May 17 – A total of 1.3 million tourists have come and visited Cambodia by air, road and by sea, in the first quarter of 2016, an increase of 2.6% compared to the 2015’s, according to a quarterly report (Jan-Mar) of the Ministry of Tourism issued on May 16, 2016.

Most of the tourists are Vietnamese, Chinese, S. Korean, Thai, and American. Out of this total number, 217,864 tourists come from Vietnam, 217,213 from China, 131,538 from S. Korea, 85,659 from Thailand, and 75,706 from the U.S. respectively.

Most of the tourists have come to Cambodia by air. The most active international airports include Phnom Penh International Airport, Siem Reap International Airport, and Sihanouk Ville International Airport, the report said.
